Ujjain in MP is one of the oldest holiest cities of India and counted among the seven important holy places of Hindu pilgrimage & located on the eastern bank of the Kshipra River in the Malwa region. Mahakaleshwar temple is the centre of the tourist attraction here. Here Shiva jyotirlinga is worshipped by several devotees. Also, there are other tourist attractions such as the Kal Bhairav and the Harsiddhi temple and Kumbh mela.
Kumb mela is one of the holy festivals on the bank of Shipra river where around 100 lakh people bath together. Ujjain is also known as the one of the best Hindu pilligrimage places of India. Ram Ghat is famous for taking bath during Kumb mela.
Chintaman Ganesh Temple across the Kshipra river is one of the popular Ganesh temples of the country where several devotees pray their wishes. Kaliadeh Palace, Bade Ganeshji Ka Mandir, Bhartrihari caves are the other tourist attraction of Ujjain with both historical and religious symbol of Hindus.
