Nashik district is popularly known as the “Vegetable garden of Maharastra and western states” or “Grape city” or “Wine capital” of India. Nashik is Pune (200 km) and from Mumbai (186 km). By locating at the western side of Deccan Peninsula and in the western ghat, it provides suitable weather and soil for cultivation of vegetables and fruits.
Godavari is flowing near it and this city is surrounded with nine hills- chitraghanta, Pandav, Durga, Ganesh, Dinger Ali Mhasarul, Pathanpura, Jogwanda, and Konkani. The world famous ‘Maha Kumbhmela’ is organized here in every 12 years and some important incidents of Ramayan occurred here in Panchvati & Sita Gupha.

Trimbakeshwar one of the 12 jyotirlingas in India enshrined here at the beautiful temple. Trimbakeshwar is an important pilgrim Centre for Hindus. Devotees take a dip in the sacred ‘Kushavarta Teerta’ before proceeding for darshan of ‘Trimbakeshwar’ The river Godavari has its source on a nearby hill, Brahmagiri
